Research interests

My main research interest is in the development of functional specialisation in the brain and the respective roles of maturation and experience in this process. I am using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and event-related potentials (ERPs) to investigate how the brain processes social stimuli (mainly faces, language and vocalisations) in infants, children and adults.

I am currently working at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, in collaboration with the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development on a project investigating the brain correlates of emotional vocalisations in 3-month-olds.
